Your account and your data.

If you can still sign in, this is the direct route, and it takes effect the moment you confirm. It is the same on every platform UrActor runs on.

   Open Settings

   Sign in as you normally would and open Settings. It offers two things that end a session: Logout, which only signs you out, and Delete, which does not.

   Choose Delete

   A Delete Account confirmation appears and warns you that this will delete all of your information. Nothing has happened yet — closing it with Cancel leaves your account exactly as it was.

   Type your password

   The same dialog asks for your account password. UrActor re-authenticates you before it removes anything, so that a phone left unlocked on a table cannot destroy your diary.

   Confirm

   Press Delete. Your stored data and the account itself are removed, the copies held on the device are cleared, and the app returns to the login screen. There is no second confirmation and no waiting period.

You do not have to install anything to have your account deleted. If UrActor is already off your devices, write to us instead and we will delete it for you.

Send the request from the email address the account is registered under. That address is what identifies the account, so a message arriving from it is all we need. There is nothing else to send, and you should never send us a password.

One case is worth naming plainly: if you have lost your password, the in-app route is closed to you, because the confirmation step re-authenticates before it deletes. Email is the way through, and it reaches the same end.

Until a request is carried out, your account is still there and still yours. Once it is, the same things are deleted as in the app, and it is just as final.

Both routes remove the same things. There is no partial version of this, and nothing to choose between.

• Your diary — everything you logged as watched, the dates you watched it on, your ratings and your notes.
• Your calendar — every entry in it.
• Your lists — the lists you built, and the order you left them in.
• Your account — the account itself, with the email address and the sign-in credentials it was created with. Afterwards, that address is not an UrActor account.
• The copies on your device — the caches UrActor keeps locally so it can open quickly, cleared as part of the same step.

Nothing is held back for later. There is no archive, no grace period and no restore: the stored data and the account go together, at the moment the deletion runs.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. UrActor keeps no copy of a deleted account for you to come back to, and we cannot reverse it after the fact. A diary is only worth keeping if deleting it means what it says.

So if any of it matters to you, write it down or photograph it before you delete — afterwards there is nothing left to read it from.
